The outdoor ice skating rink in downtown Kent is under construction on East Erie Street and will soon be open to the public.
The rink will open on Nov. 20 with free skating and skate rental and will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 pm. Wednesdays through Sundays through Feb. 28.
Food and beverages are planned for the site with a snack bar and visits from food trucks.
This attraction has been created through a partnership between the city of Kent, the Kent State Hotel and Conference Center, the Kent Area Chamber of Commerce, Main Street Kent and Kent State University.
