CHARLOTTE, N.C. (News Release) — Rollin’ Clt Rink & Lounge is set to make history as the facility announces plans to officially launch on Labor Day Weekend, September 4th-6th. This will make the skating rink the first-of-its-kind in Charlotte, NC, with the goal of enhancing the millennial nightlife in Charlotte. The rink will feature the top-of-the-line skating and lounge experience for families, couples, and young adults, bringing back the nostalgic feel of skating mixed with the urban uptown vibes of Charlotte.
Skating remains one of the most popular activities in the United States and other parts of the world. Over the years, more people have been involved in skating either for leisure or as professionals. The case is not particularly different in and around Charlotte. However, the vibes around skating in the area have been somewhat on the decline in recent times, which is where the team at Rollin’ Clt Rink & Lounge is looking to make a difference.
Founded by 3 African American Women who are Charlotte natives, Rollin’ Clt is a break away from the norm, offering residents of North Carolina an outdoor skating rink and lounge area that will operate year-round. Other features of the facility include a state-of-the-art outdoor roller rink, an adults-only outdoor lounge area with hookahs and bar, an onsite game truck for an interactive gaming experience, and Charlotte’s best food trucks.
There will also be top-ranked DJs from across the nation pinning the best skating hits including JB Music, House Music, Snap Music, City Roll Call, ATL Step, West Coast Stride as well as family-friendly sessions with the top kid-friendly hits.
Rollin’ Clt Rink & Lounge is also set to launch a charitable organization, Rollin’ Homies, to bridge the gap between financial literacy and fun by providing school-age children with the education of business principles including entrepreneurship, trading, investing, life skills development, and financial literacy.
The Rollin’ Homies programs are scheduled to begin in Fall 2021.
