BMX riders from Rhyl attended the British BMX Championships in Leicester.
11 members of Dragon Riders BMX Club, based at Marsh Tracks, attended the British Cycling racing event on Saturday, August 28.
The riders, aged six to 41, took part in age category events over the bumpy and winding track at Huncote Leisure Centre, home to Leicester Huncote Hornets BMX.
Elin Parr (female u-14s) rode extremely well, making the final in her age category finishing in fourth position to claim the title of British number four.
Meanwhile, Chester Grocock (six & under male) raced at his first BRITS and managed to make it through to the quarter finals, along with Osian Parr (male u-11s), and veterans Martyn Parr and Andrew Mackie.
Younger members including Hannah Mackie (female u-8s), Thomas Roberts (male u-10s), Grace Proctor (female u-11s), Alex Mackie and Olly Webb (male u-12s) fought hard in their motos against some tough competition.
On the second day, the female u-13s was represented by Paige Proctor, who returned from injury.
Anyone wishing to take part in BMX racing is welcome to attend Dragons Riders BMX Club at Marsh Tracks every Monday and Wednesday from 6pm to 8.30pm.
