Celebration of Lights Parade kicks off WinterFest 2018 in downtown El Paso

The El Paso Live WinterFest Ice Skating Rink will debut with special hours from noon to midnight Nov. 20.
The ice skating rink, nestled between the Plaza Theatre and the El Paso Museum of Art, will be open daily from Nov. 20 through Jan. 2. The Texas Gas Service Warming Tent will be next to the rink.
Skating sessions are 50 minutes. Cost is $8 to skate; 5 and younger are $5.
Here are the hours of the rink:
• 4 to 9 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
• 4 to 11 p.m. Thursdays.
• 4 p.m. to midnight Fridays.
• Noon to midnight Saturdays.
• Noon to 9 p.m. Sundays.
Fiesta Fridays, featuring local music, returns to the deck by the El Paso Electric Holiday Tree from 7 to 9 p.m. Nov. 26, Dec. 3, Dec. 10 and Dec. 17. The Holiday Café produced by Delicious Mexican Eatery will be open during ice-skating rink hours and Berliner Freiheit will serve up its German delicacies. A vendor market will be held near the rink each Saturday, featuring local artisans and crafters.
