49ers vs. Packers final score, results: Mason Crosby walks it off for Green Bay as time expires – Sporting News

Aaron Rodgers entered Levi’s Stadium on Sunday with 25 game-winning drives in the fourth quarter or overtime.

He left it with 26.

Rodgers needed just 34 seconds to get Mason Crosby into position to nail a 51-yard field goal as time expired for a 30-28 Packers victory over the 49ers.

He found Davante Adams twice on the final drive, for plays of 25 and 17 yards. The latter set up Crosby to split the uprights with his game-winning kick.

Those two completions were also the last of Adams’ 12 catches for 132 yards. Tight end George Kittle led the 49ers with seven catches for 92 yards.

Jimmy Garoppolo played well for the 49ers (2-1), going 25 of 40 for 257 yards, with two touchdowns and an interception, but he also had a costly fumble late in the game.

Garoppolo’s second touchdown pass was to fullback Kyle Juszczyk with 37 seconds left, which put San Francisco up 28-27. That left enough time for Rodgers and Co.

The Niners were flagged for just four penalties, but they totaled 86 yards. Three of them were third-down pass interference calls. They also mustered just 67 rushing yards as the Packers (2-1) outgained them 353-298 for the game.

The Packers, who now sit squarely atop the NFC North, will take on the Steelers next week. The Niners, third in the NFC West, will take on divisional foe Seattle.
