Brewer — There is a new outdoor fitness park coming to Brewer next month at Veteran’s Park thanks to a donation from Machias Savings Bank.
This new fitness development will feature various pieces of workout equipment from step-up platforms, to Swedish ladders and pull-up bars.
The park will include a descriptive sign with a scannable QR code that will feature various pieces of workout equipment.
The park will be accessible to 20 people at a time.
D’arcy Main-Boyington, Brewer’s Director of Economic Development, said she is looking forward to the grand opening of the outdoor fitness park.
“We are very excited. The adult fitness center is finally coming together. We have been waiting for it all summer. It has been delayed, it was supposed to be here in June but it has finally arrived. We are still waiting for the surfacing materials to come,” said Main-Boyington.
The official grand opening of the Brewer Fitness Center will be on September 17, 2021 and anyone is welcome to attend.
