DeSoto County News will partner with SportsMississippi.com to offer statewide sports updates during the 2020-2021 season. This will allow our local coverage to reach a larger audience and bring relevant statewide sports stories to our local readers.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with DeSoto County News and offering access to our statewide audience about stories that would interest both of our audiences,” SportsMississippi.com executive editor Jon Myers said of the partnership.
Founded in 2013, the Mississippi Sports Group is the largest sports focused digial media company in the state of Mississippi.
“We feel as though the state of Mississippi is interested in the happenings in DeSoto County and this allows us to provide the rest of the state with the happenings with high school, collegiate and professional sports happenings in the area,” Myers said.
The partnership will include write ups on both Mississippi State and Ole Miss athletics, as well as other collegiate and professional sports in the state.
